Protection in the detail

VXS+ 100% Inherent Arc Flash Protection Fabrics

The challenge with treated Arc and Flame Resistant garments is that they lose their protective properties over time due to washing, making them less effective. Treated fabrics can also be stiff and uncomfortable, leading workers to wash them excessively or continue wearing old, less effective garments, increasing injury risk.

ProGARM’s VXS+ fabrics ensure consistent durability, protection, and comfort. Unlike treated fabrics, VXS+ fabrics are made from yarns that are inherently Flame Resistant, creating garments as comfortable as pajamas while offering superior protection and longevity, tested through over 50 industrial washes.

ThermSAFE Components and Stretch tape

We prioritise safety down to the smallest detail. Our ThermSAFE components ensure that every part of the garment, from zippers to velcro, is Flame Resistant and durable. These components are rigorously tested to maintain their protective properties throughout the garment’s lifespan.

Our ThermSAFE Stretch Tape enhances garment flexibility and comfort while maintaining high visibility and compliance with EN ISO 20471 standards. This innovation ensures that protective clothing remains comfortable and functional.

SafetyICON for Easy Identification

Every ProGARM garment features SafetyICON, a visual marker indicating the level and type of protection it offers, including Arc Flash and Flame Resistance, Anti-Static capabilities, and relevant EN Standards. This system simplifies safety checks and ensures proper protective gear usage.

Increased Safety Through Layering

Effective Arc Flash protection requires not just an outer layer but protective mid and base layers as well. Layering ProGARM garments can enhance protection levels, allowing employees to adjust their protective gear to suit varying risk levels throughout their workday.

ProGARM’s Arc Flash base layers, including leggings, long-sleeve tops, and underwear, are designed to provide additional protection and comfort under other flame-resistant clothing. These layers help achieve higher protection levels when combined with other ProGARM garments.

Clear Protection Ratings

Our garments are listed with open arc ratings, indicating the level of protection in calories per cm² (cal/cm²). This rating system helps ensure that you choose the appropriate level of protection for your needs. Layering garments, such as a 7.0 cal/cm² polo shirt with a 14.4 cal/cm² sweatshirt, can achieve a combined rating of 31.0 cal/cm².
